About

Sestry Feldman — Nicole and Michelle, Ukrainian twin artists born in 1996 in Dnipro. They work across street art, animation, visual installations, design, and original Tarot decks. Their projects have been presented in numerous cities across Ukraine as well as in Brussels, Berlin, Tbilisi, London, New York, and Warsaw.

The artists explore themes of Ukrainian identity and documentary presence within urban space. In 2024, they received the prestigious VMSD International Visual Competition award for their window design at Kyiv’s TSUM department store. In 2025, they spoke at the Pictoplasma Conference in Bulgaria and Berlin and participated in the London-based ArtShield program focused on social and cultural issues.

Animation holds a significant place in their practice. Their series “YoYo” (2024–2025, Studio 31 and SKVOT) portrays a world controlled by artificial intelligence, where creativity remains the last form of freedom.

The sisters have created a number of international murals: in Brussels as part of Parcours Street Art, in Port-Jérôme-sur-Seine in France, as well as projects in Kyiv and London. A particularly meaningful chapter was their time in Tbilisi during the protests, where they created street art in support of Georgia’s independence, merging artistic practice with civic engagement.

They have also developed several original Tarot decks: Glory to Ukraine Tarot (2022), Orner Tarot (2023), and Feldman Sisters Tarot (2024, Pentagram), each representing a distinct artistic universe.

Currently, Sestry Feldman are working on a new documentary film, “My Name Is Propaganda,” dedicated to street art and the role of Ukrainian culture within the global cultural system. The film explores the influence of art on politics and includes the creation of political and social street artworks as well as large-scale public actions.

Their practice bridges art, documentary methods, and visual storytelling, shaping a recognizable contemporary Ukrainian voice on the international stage.

Their work has been featured and mentioned in international media including BBC, Forbes, The New Republic, Le Monde, France 3, The Village, and The Calvert Journal.
